Horse Pulling was originally a competition for farmers to determine who had the strongest team.  Now it is more of a hobby for a lot of competitors, although you will still find a few farm and logging teams who take part.  It takes many hours of hard work to condition these teams to be fit enough to compete. 

This sport is a huge team effort between a man and a horse.  It takes a well conditioned pair of horses, a skilled teamster and a precise hooker ( the person who hooks the team swings to the drag ) to make this look as easy as some of these guys do. 

These Horses are athletes in every sence of the word.

So come out and enjoy an afternoon of some "True Horse Power".
